Montauk Point is the easternmost point of the Long Island peninsula located in the State of New York. The light of the lighthouse flashes 51 metres above sea level and is visible 18 miles. The lighthouse is the oldest one in New York, completed in 1796. It has been renovated recently and now is a great attraction to visitors with a museum.
